Any Suggestions: Phila. area to SC (Hilton Head)
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. A few weeks ago we went to Daytona and used 301 to avoid Baltimore/Washington, tunnel restrictions, etc. But 301 was terrible...Really, the last 2/3 of it anyway before picking up 95 again.
Anybody have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
RE: dynamax owners wanted
Thanks...I have spoken with Dan a dozen or more times...A very nice guy and I think he does the best he can. But he seems overwhelmed and can't overcome the fundamental problems or the culture of the company. Nobody seems to kbow anything, nothing is on paper...It "feels" like a start up company that lacks systems, protocols, standards, etc. Of course, that is largely true of the entire industry.
I don't want to give a bunch of boring specifics...I can tell you that when my dealer screwed me up (and the unit up) the 3rd or 4th time is when I went over their head to the factory (Dan's predecessor)...Who was also a nice guy who aimed to please but couldn't get his arms around anything and solve it. He/they agreed that the dealer dropped the ball, apologized, blah, blah blah & agreed to take it back to IN, but at my expense...which I paid because I had no choice and was at the end of my rope. My rationale was that at least it will be 100%. It wasn't...Some items came back worse. And now they are not even calling me back. I realize I sound like one of those nuts that likes to complain and is never happy...That's what I would think if I read this...But I'm not.I had better service from Gulfstream on my Endura wich cost A LOT less. Again, if I had a local dealer, I think it would have gone much differently.
But again, I love the unit...In spite of the issues I have...I haven't driven anything I like better...Except the 45' with the tag axle and the MB motor!
Thanks again,
Rob
RE: dynamax owners wanted
I have an '06 Grand Sport on the M2 chasis.
I LOVE the ride & handling...CAT motor is strong but wish I got the MB...
Serice has been terrible. The factory is disorganized and unresponsive. My local dealer (whom I think has since lost the line) was so bad I was forced to send my unit back to the factory for service & warranty items...at my own expense! And it still sidn't come back right. Exterior fit & finish is mediocre at best. Washer/dryer doesn't work, same with the DW...Basement storage weak. Interior storage a little better but still weak.
I think if I had a local dealer, my experience would be much different.
But boy does it look and handle great & it pulls anything can put behind it without flinching.
Daytona - Infield - Yellow vs. Lake Lloyd
Dear All:
Any help would be greatly apprecited....
Have a line on an Infield spot for Daytona (Coke 400). This spot is in the yellow section "on the wall". I think I may want to hold out for Lloyd's Lake tickets to get the hook ups...Also, the in & out feature.
Can anyone shed some light on the views from both or either locations?
General desirability of both or either?
If I end up in the yellow, and have no in & out privllages,is there an easy way to leave the toad outside and be able to use it? Is there an easy way to get out to a Walmart, etc. by cab or bus?
Are the roving septic trucks reliable? Potable Water?
How strict is Quiet Time? I bet it gets hot in July.
Sorry if any of these quetions are silly...This is/will be my first time taking the RV to a race...
Thanks in advance,
Rob

If I end up in the yellow, and have no in & out privllages, why bring a 2nd vehicle? Is there a way to leave it outside and be able to use it?
